INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Here are some tips for installing the camera trap in the field:
Place the camera at a height of approximately 1.5 m/2 m with the camera facing slightly downward.
Place the camera facing north or south. Do not orient it to the east or west, as sunrise and sunset can cause the camera to trigger and produce overexposed images.
When surveying a stream, aim the camera along the stream rather than perpendicular to it. This will allow you to see several animals at once if they pass in a line.
Avoid placing the camera on a fragile tree that may move in a strong wind. Try to place the camera on a stable, fixed support.
Clean any branches or grass in front of the camera. In windy conditions or high temperatures, they may cause the camera to shut down unexpectedly.
Check the batteries before installing the camera.
Make sure the memory card is inserted correctly.
Check that the date and time are correct.
Remember to turn the power switch to the "ON" position before leaving.
